PGA of Sweden Teaching Summit

PGA Professionals in Sweden are among the highest recognized /ranked in the world. Our education system and the tradition of continual development though further and advanced education among our Professionals, are two of the most common reason that are mentioned.

PGA of Sweden has delivered Further education since 1975. First on stage were Peter Kostis, Jim Flick and Bill Strausburgh. Since then many of the top international names in golf have spread their ides during the Teaching Summit, as Gary Wiren, Bob Toski, Jimmy Ballard, Dennis Pugh, Michael Hebron, Simon Holmes, Jim Christine, Chuck Hogan, Dave Peltz, Paul Check, Bob Rotella, Dr. Greg Rose, Kjell Enhager, Dave Phillips, Jim Hardy, Stan Utlay, and many more.

The Summit gathers around 300-400 PGA Professionals every year and is one of the largest summits in the world. Thanks to the large numbers of participants PGA of Sweden can continue to invite gurus from around the world.

“I found the Swedish golf professional to be among the best educated, most knowledgeable group of golf instructors in the world. Teaching golf is taken seriously in Sweden and so is the education of the Swedish golf professional.  The questions I was asked demonstrated a familiarity with a wide range of golf theory, much more so than I am accustomed to from my fellow professionals in the USA.    My trip to Sweden could not have been better. I was treated with the upmost courtesy, consideration and hospitality.  My family and I loved the country, the culture, the food and most importantly, the people.  I met friends while there that are friends for life.”

"It is always exciting as a teacher to present in Sweden since the level of education of the golf instructors seems to be one of the highest in the world.  Professionals have already been exposed to most aspects of coaching including, basic instruction, junior development, physical fitness, motor learning, mental coaching, technology basics, and many more topics that separate them from the rest.  There has never been a seminar where we as instructors didn't walk away with something new that we learned during the class from our students.  That is why we all love coming to Sweden!"
